Conscious Living is our range of wallpapers manufactured with the space around us in mind.

Traditionally most textured wallcoverings use PVC to create the raised effect. The sustainability issues with using PVC are well documented.

Our products replace the PVC with a water-based eco foam based on acrylic resin, which gives the same textured effect on the product without the environmental negatives of PVC.

This means the product is produced with cleaner environmental production methods and is solvent-free so releases no odours. The products also contain no plasticisers.

In addition, the Conscious Living wallpapers only use water based inks. As there is no vinyl coating they are fully permeable so they allow your walls to breathe, reducing the chance of problems such as damp or mould.

All of our products are FSC-certified. The Forest Stewardship Council is an international, non-governmental organisation whose mission is to promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the worlds forests.

The Holden product portfolio also contains a lot of direct-print products as well as textured Wallcoverings. As of today 78 % of Holden Decor’s product range is now PVC-Free and, with suitable new collections planned for the spring and the rest of the year, this number of PVC-Free products we bring to the market will continue to grow.
